The Martins Ferry City School District Board of Education is seeking an experienced and visionary educational leader to serve as its next Superintendent.

Qualifications: The Board seeks candidates who possess or can demonstrate the following:
- Valid Ohio Superintendent License (required) Understanding of public school finance and fiscal responsibility;
- ability to collaborate with the District Treasurer and Board of Education Personal integrity, leadership, strong communication skills, and the desire to work collectively with all stakeholders
- Proactive approach to strategic planning, goal development and problem solving Commitment to promoting and improving high academic student performance and achievement
- Actively engaged, accessible, and present in District related activities and events

About the District: The Martins Ferry City School District, located in eastern Ohio, serves approximately 1,281 students in three school buildings. The district employs 95 certified staff, 51 classified staff, and 13 administrators who work collaboratively to provide an excellent educational experience in a safe and supportive environment.
FY25 General Fund Receipts: 39% Local/Other, 61% State FY25 Expenditure per Pupil: $15,753 FY26 Appropriations (Estimated): $19 million General Fund; $26.9 million All Funds
Total District Valuation: $215.5 million

Salary and Contract: The Board of Education anticipates offering a multi-year contract with a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
