Service Team Selection *
Thank you for your interest in serving on an OAESA service team. Please read the following descriptions and select which team you would like to work with.
Advocacy & Representation The advocacy and representation team has as its main focus the opportunity to work and speak with legislators here in the state of Ohio and nationally. This is a very important role as we advocate for the needs of pre-K, elementary, and middle-level students as well as the educators who serve them.
Communications Members tell us that networking is the number one reason to join OAESA. This service team will develop ways to connect with colleagues face-to-face as well as virtually. This is done through the connections subgroup as well as the editorial subgroup.
Membership The Membership Service Team will assist the Board and staff in developing strategies to recruit, retain and recover members. Using the existing structure of Zone Directors, County Representatives and District Liaisons, the Membership Service Team will create and implement plans to increase our professional membership across the state.
Professional Learning Advises the OAESA staff and Board of Directors on the professional development needs of Ohio's administrators. This includes standalone OAESA workshops and conferences, joint conferences with OASSA, and providing resources from other outlets.
Professional Conference The professional conference service team has the important role of developing the theme and energy behind the association's largest annual event. This team will help determine keynote speakers, clinic offerings, and the conference schedule.
Recognition This team comprises OAESA awards subgroups, including: OAESA Ohio Principal of the Year, Outstanding Central Office Administrator Award, Outstanding Second-in-Command Administrator Award, Hall of Fame Reading, Hall of Fame Visitation, and the Secretary of the Year. This is a way to shout out what is truly extraordinary in Ohio's schools.
